There is a genius inventor in magic - Jim Steinmeyer.

He created a number of the modern classics of magic for the (now) legends in our industry - including the Statue of Liberty Vanish of David Copperfield.

This trick is no where near the scope of the statue vanish but they wouldn't let me bring Ms. Liberty to the studio.

I like its clean presentation (so did Darrin), and yes, I know about the reversed image. It was shot using the overhead cooking mirror. It was in later years that they started using the overhead camera.
