All Great & Fun Things Must Come To An End

It finally happened. After more than 15 years my monthly, two trick per show run on Rogers Daytime finally came to an end at the beginning of this month (May 2017). That’s over 300 routines, although there were a few repeats along the way.

Once a month from September to June, I’d get a call from the producer to come down and tape two, 5-6 minute segments for no other reason than for fun. No cause to plug, no advertising. Just for fun.

On May 1st of this year, I went in one more time and taped what turned out to be not only my last show but the very last show of the series. during the last few months of the show, the producer started taping two of the shows each week because of studio scheduling and on this particular Monday, I was in to tape Tuesday’s show (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday shows were live, Tuesday and Friday were pretaped).

Well Rogers, in their narrow-minded wisdom decided to cancel the show nationwide the next day, Tuesday, before the show went to air. So, it was never shown! They also fired the Producer/Director and of course all of the terrific volunteers who worked on the show had no show to come in for every morning.

But all is not lost! Here are the last two segments I recorded for Daytime. It was a GREAT run. Thanks to all of the Hosts, Producer/Directors, Volunteers and Crew who have made me look good for over 15 years!
